A Guide and friend! I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in August 2007. For me it was the first mountain outside the European alps and, of course, my first experience with high altitude trekking. JAMBO! I can only say thank you for this absolutely amazing trip and wonderful experience to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro by sunrise. When you are standing up there on the "Top of Africa" and walked the whole way until you are up there over the clouds and the sun rises and turns everything in a warm light and pushes the cold and the darkness of the night away you will definitely understand what I meant by that! And this experience I owe to Godfrey and his crew! In this time I learned what is meant by "Hakuna matata" and by following this principle I had an awesome time in Tanzania.

Climbing with Godfrey and his team was a singular experience. We, Carol and Denis Cree ( 59 year olds from New Zealand ) utilised the services of Godfrey as a Mt Kilimanjaro guide  -  Machame route to Uhuru peak summit - in June 2011. We found him and his chosen cook, assistants and porters to be every thing that we wanted and needed. He listened to our requests and made certain that they were followed relating to the trip organisation and equipment. During the trip he was observant without being intrusive and basically had a handle on every thing that was going on relating to us, the climb progress, and his staff.
