From the moment we landed in Tanzania, the Kilimanjaro Sunrise team took care of everything. Our guides were knowledgeable, patient, and inspiring. You could tell they truly cared about our safety and success. They paced us perfectly, monitored our oxygen levels, and cheered us on every single day. We all stood on the summit together just after sunrise. There were tears, hugs, and the most stunning view I’ve ever seen. You can’t describe the feeling unless you’ve been there. It’s emotional, surreal, and absolutely magical.
The food was another unexpected highlight. I don’t know how the chef managed to cook so well at altitude, but we were treated to hot, delicious meals every day. I never once felt like I was “roughing it.” The entire support crew was incredible… kind, hardworking, and so encouraging.
And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we went on a four day safari that was straight out of a dream. We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs… You name it. Our driver was like a walking encyclopedia, and the lodging was true glamping. Think luxury tented camps with hot showers and sunsets that looked like paintings.
